dot cloud computer: desktop and terminal specifications Measurement date: 30 September 2026 Updated with live desktop-terminal evidence at approximately 08:39 UTC VERIFIED DESKTOP SUMMARY - OS: Debian GNU/Linux 13.6 (trixie) - Kernel: Linux 6.18.44, x86_64 - Visible logical CPUs: 9, numbered 0 through 8 - Reported CPU model: AMD EPYC 9V74 80-Core Processor - Virtualization: KVM, full virtualization - CPU bandwidth quota: 8 CPU equivalents (800000 / 100000) - Memory limit: 8,589,934,592 bytes, exactly 8 GiB - OS-reported memory total: 9.7 GiB; this is larger than the cgroup limit - Swap: none reported - Root filesystem: overlay, shown as 32G total and 30G available - Desktop: Xfce; captured desktop image was 1,364 by 1,024 pixels - Physical disk, GPU hardware, datacenter and cloud instance type: unverified A. LIVE CLOUD DESKTOP: VERIFIED IN ITS GRAPHICAL TERMINAL The following observations came from terminal output displayed on the actual interactive cloud desktop. They are distinct from the separate execution sandbox inspected in the later sections of this report. A1. CPU and virtualization lscpu reported: Architecture: x86_64 CPU model: AMD EPYC 9V74 80-Core Processor Logical CPUs: 9 Online CPU list: 0-8 Threads per core: 1 Cores per socket: 9 Sockets: 1 Hypervisor vendor: KVM Virtualization type: full Reported cache totals: L1 data: 160 KiB, 5 instances L1 instruction: 160 KiB, 5 instances L2: 5 MiB, 5 instances L3: 32 MiB, 1 instance These are virtual-machine-visible model, topology and cache values. The "80-Core" text is the processor model name; it does not mean the desktop has 80 allocated cores. The topology and caches do not independently establish the physical host's complete hardware layout. The desktop's /sys/fs/cgroup/cpu.max contained: 800000 100000 Interpretation: 800,000 microseconds of CPU time per 100,000-microsecond period, equivalent to an aggregate CPU bandwidth cap of 8 CPUs. The 9 visible logical CPUs therefore do not represent 9 CPUs of sustained permitted CPU time. This quota does not imply 8 dedicated physical cores or guarantee that 8 CPUs of performance will always be available. A2. Memory The desktop's /sys/fs/cgroup/memory.max contained: 8589934592 This is exactly 8 GiB (8.589934592 decimal GB) for the inspected cgroup. Its processes share that limit; it is not necessarily 8 GiB available to a single application. Other resource constraints or existing usage can reduce usable headroom. The desktop's free output, rounded: Total: 9.7 GiB Used: 1.9 GiB Available: 7.8 GiB Swap: none The 9.7 GiB total is the operating system's visible memory view. The 8 GiB cgroup limit is the more relevant upper bound for processes in that group. The 7.8 GiB available field is a changing OS estimate, not a measurement of remaining cgroup allowance. A3. Filesystem The desktop's df output for the root filesystem showed: Type: overlay Total: 32G Used: 247M Available: 30G These are human-readable rounded values. Exact-byte desktop filesystem capacity was not captured. The separate terminal sandbox measured 31.4509 GiB total, but that exact value is not assumed to be the desktop's capacity. No physical drive type, model, IOPS or throughput was measured. A4. OS, graphics and desktop The desktop reported Debian GNU/Linux 13 and /etc/debian_version = 13.6. uname reported Linux 6.18.44 on x86_64. The visible desktop was Xfce. The desktop capture measured 1,364 by 1,024 pixels; this is a capture dimension, not a physical monitor specification. /dev/dri was absent. lspci and glxinfo were unavailable. GPU model, VRAM, graphics renderer and hardware acceleration remain unverified. Absent device nodes do not prove the physical host has no GPU. Desktop evidence commands included lscpu, free, df, uname, OS-version reads, reads of cpu.max and memory.max, and graphics-device/tool availability checks. No further desktop inspection was needed for this report. B. SEPARATE TERMINAL EXECUTION SANDBOX: ADDITIONAL DETAILS The sections below describe a separate shell inspection at 08:34-08:36 UTC. The shell had no DISPLAY, WAYLAND_DISPLAY or XDG_SESSION_TYPE variable, no X11 socket directory, and no visible desktop/browser process. Chromium, Xorg and Xfce session binaries were present. The /sys hardware tree was unavailable in this shell even though the desktop terminal exposed cgroup files. The exact relationship between the two environments was not established. Software versions, exact-byte filesystem measurements and hidden-resource limitations below are explicitly shell-scoped. The desktop measurements in section A take precedence for questions about the interactive cloud desktop. Shell summary: - Debian GNU/Linux 13.6 (trixie), Linux 6.18.44, x86_64 - 9 logical CPUs visible, with AMD EPYC 9V74 model string - 10,451,464,192 bytes of reported RAM (9.7337 GiB) - No swap - Overlay workspace: 33,770,192,896 bytes total (31.4509 GiB) - Shell cgroup limits could not be read 1. OPERATING SYSTEM AND ARCHITECTURE /etc/os-release: PRETTY_NAME: Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie) VERSION_ID: 13 DEBIAN_VERSION_FULL: 13.6 uname -srvm: Linux 6.18.44 #1 SMP Sat Sep 26 20:02:31 UTC 2026 x86_64 Word size: 64 bits Memory page size: 4,096 bytes glibc: 2.41, Debian package string 2.41-12+deb13u3 These are runtime-reported values. They do not independently identify the physical host's operating system or the kernel used by a separate browser service. 2. CPU Source: /proc/cpuinfo, nproc, nproc --all and /proc/self/status Vendor: AuthenticAMD Model string: AMD EPYC 9V74 80-Core Processor CPU family: 25 Model: 17 Stepping: 1 Microcode string: 0x1000065 Visible logical processor entries: 9 nproc: 9 nproc --all: 9 Allowed CPU list: 0-8 Reported CPU frequency: 2,596.138 MHz Reported cache-size field: 1,024 KB Reported topology: physical ID 0; core IDs 0-8; 9 cores and 9 siblings Reported address sizes: 46 bits physical, 48 bits virtual Reported cache-line alignment: 64 bytes Reported TLB size field: 3,584 4K pages Selected reported instruction features: SSE through SSE4.2, AES, SHA, AVX, AVX2, FMA AVX-512F/DQ/IFMA/CD/BW/VL/VBMI/VBMI2/VNNI/BITALG/VPOPCNTDQ/BF16 RDRAND, RDSEED, BMI1, BMI2 The hypervisor flag is present Interpretation: - "80-Core" is part of the CPU model string. It does not mean 80 cores are allocated to this sandbox. - Nine logical processors are visible and allowed to this process. This does not prove nine dedicated physical cores or nine CPUs of sustained quota. - The frequency field is a reported value, not a benchmark, guaranteed clock, current turbo measurement or performance promise. - The topology and cache fields may be filtered or synthesized by isolation. Full physical socket, SMT and L1/L2/L3 topology could not be verified. - lscpu could not run its normal discovery because /sys CPU data was absent. 3. MEMORY AND LIMITS Source: free -b and /proc/meminfo Total memory reported: 10,451,464,192 bytes 10.4515 decimal GB 9.7337 binary GiB A later snapshot during inspection: Used: 2,034,221,056 bytes Free: 8,371,531,776 bytes Available: 8,417,243,136 bytes Buff/cache: 365,436,928 bytes Shared: 32,919,552 bytes Swap total: 0 bytes Swap used: 0 bytes Allowed memory-node list: 0 HugePages_Total: 0 Reported huge-page size: 2,048 kB "Available" is the operating system's estimate at that moment and changes with activity. It is not a reservation for a task. Modern free output's columns should not be treated as independent pools to add together. cgroup information: /proc/self/cgroup reported 0::/ /sys/fs/cgroup was unavailable Therefore CPU quota (cpu.max), memory.max, memory.high, memory.swap.max and other enforced cgroup limits could not be read. The reported memory total should not be presented as an independently verified hard memory allowance, nor as the total physical RAM installed in the server. 4. STORAGE Source: df -B1 -T Workspace mount: Filesystem type: overlay Total: 33,770,192,896 bytes (31.4509 GiB) Used: 255,881,216 bytes (244.0273 MiB) Available: 31,779,549,184 bytes (29.5970 GiB) Reported utilization: 1% Root mount: Filesystem type: tmpfs Total ceiling: 5,225,730,048 bytes (4.8668 GiB) Reported used at snapshot: 0 bytes Temporary-files mount: Filesystem type: tmpfs Total ceiling: 5,225,730,048 bytes (4.8668 GiB) Reported used at snapshot: 49,152 bytes Important: - The workspace's "32G" output from human-readable df rounds a measured 31.4509 GiB filesystem total. It is not evidence of an exact 32 GiB disk. - tmpfs is memory-backed and its ceiling is not additional physical RAM or a dedicated disk. The root and temporary ceilings must not be added to RAM. - Overlay capacity describes the filesystem view, not a physical drive model or guaranteed storage allocation. Layering and backing-filesystem accounting can make total, used and available differ from simple subtraction. - lsblk could not inspect devices because the sysfs block-device tree was unavailable. - SSD/HDD/NVMe type, manufacturer, disk model, physical capacity, IOPS, throughput, endurance and persistence guarantees are unknown. 5. GPU AND GRAPHICS No /dev/dri or NVIDIA device nodes were visible. No nvidia-smi, lspci, glxinfo or vulkaninfo command was available. No GPU model, VRAM allocation, graphics API renderer or hardware-acceleration status could be measured. This means no GPU was exposed to the inspected shell. It does not prove that the underlying server or a separate cloud browser has no GPU. Installed-command presence checks found: chromium Xorg xfce4-session No version or running renderer was verified for these components, and the inspection did not open, navigate or interact with the browser. 6. VIRTUALIZATION AND RUNTIME BOUNDARIES systemd-detect-virt returned: container-other The CPU feature list included: hypervisor /dev/kvm was not visible. /sys was absent. The process-name snapshot contained only the assistant execution process and the shell/inspection commands. Together these observations support that this is an isolated execution environment. They do not identify the exact container platform, hypervisor, cloud provider, instance type or physical server. They also do not prove whether the interactive desktop runs on the same physical machine. 7. NETWORK No throughput or latency benchmark, external network probe, speed test or geolocation lookup was run. The system's interface-enumeration API returned "Operation not permitted". The inspection stopped that check rather than trying to bypass the restriction. Interface names, link speed, duplex and MTU were not established. No private/public IP addresses, MAC addresses, routes or credentials are included in this report. Search-engine country selection, regional URLs and a speed-test server's location do not establish the physical location of this computer. No physical location claim is made. 8. VERIFIED SOFTWARE VERSIONS Python: 3.12.14 Node.js: 24.19.0 npm: 11.9.0 Git: 2.52.0 GNU Bash: 5.2.37(1)-release, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu GCC: 14.2.0, Debian build 14.2.0-19 G++: 14.2.0, Debian build 14.2.0-19 OpenJDK: 21.0.12.1, dated 2026-08-18 glibc: 2.41 These were direct version-command results in the inspected shell. They are not a complete software inventory. 9. KEY READ-ONLY COMMANDS OS and architecture: uname -srvm cat /etc/os-release getconf LONG_BIT getconf PAGESIZE CPU: cat /proc/cpuinfo nproc nproc --all grep -E 'Cpus_allowed_list|Mems_allowed_list' /proc/self/status lscpu Result: unavailable hardware tree prevented discovery Memory and quotas: free -b cat /proc/meminfo cat /proc/self/cgroup Readability checks for selected /sys/fs/cgroup quota files Result: cgroup filesystem unavailable Storage: df -B1 -T / /tmp /workspace findmnt -n -o FSTYPE / lsblk -o NAME,TYPE,SIZE,ROTA,TRAN,MODEL Result: unavailable hardware tree prevented block-device discovery Virtualization, graphics and session: systemd-detect-virt Device-presence and command-availability checks ps -eo comm= Presence-only checks for DISPLAY, WAYLAND_DISPLAY, XDG_SESSION_TYPE Presence check for the X11 socket directory Software: python3 --version node --version npm --version git --version bash --version gcc --version g++ --version java -version ldd --version BOTTOM LINE The actual cloud desktop reports Debian 13.6 on an x86_64 Linux 6.18.44 kernel, 9 visible logical CPUs, and KVM full virtualization. Its inspected cgroup has an 8-CPU-equivalent bandwidth quota and an 8 GiB memory limit. These limits are more useful for workload planning than the visible 9 CPUs and free's 9.7 GiB memory total. Storage is an overlay filesystem shown as 32G, with 30G available in the desktop terminal. Physical CPU allocation, disk hardware, GPU hardware and datacenter location remain unverified. The separately inspected terminal sandbox provides additional software and exact-byte filesystem measurements, but those measurements are not assumed to describe the desktop's allocation.
